I had such a great time performing this past weekend. I'm a movement artist in butoh, performance art and some physical theater. I've taken exotic dance classes and watched exotic dance so I definitely see the comparison and similarities. But for someone who never did a burlesque-type dance before in front of an audience, WOW! what a rush! I have performing experience, but not in burlesque. I have found it very liberating, sensual and fun! I would love to take a class.

does anyone know of any in the bay area? do they have classes on burlesque? or are you just better off watching a show?
