You figure by the time you go somewhere and back...and your costume expenses...it's just not worth it for me to leave the house for less then $100. You won't be taken seriously if you don't charge what you're worth, and no one else is charging less then this who is a professional. And I'm just a parade clown/puppet guy. 12 year olds giving me flack are probably no worse then drooling guys hitting on you, believe me -- ever have anyone squeeze your nose? I have a pretty good solo act. I have recently been asked to perform at a private party. I am wondering what is acceptable to charge for such a performance?
